By using Over The Journal, you agree to use it responsibly and understand its limits.
OTJ provides evidence analysis, not final truth.
What OTJ provides
OTJ analyzes public article links and produces probabilistic reports based on available evidence,
source signals, support, contradiction, and uncertainty found during the analysis process.
No absolute truth guarantee
OTJ scores are estimates. A high score does not prove a claim is true.
A low score does not prove a claim is false. The report is a reading aid, not a court ruling,
academic judgment, legal opinion, medical advice, or financial advice.
User responsibility
You are responsible for how you interpret and use OTJ reports.
Before making serious decisions, check primary sources, consult qualified experts when needed,
and read the full context.
Accounts
You may sign in to save report history and manage account settings.
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure.
You may delete your history or account from the account menu.
Allowed use
You may use OTJ for personal research, journalism support, education, commentary,
editorial review, and general public-interest analysis.
Prohibited use
You may not use OTJ to attack, harass, impersonate, spam, overload the service,
reverse-engineer protected systems, or present OTJ reports as guaranteed truth.
Submitted links
You should submit only article links you have the right to access.
OTJ may fail to analyze links that are blocked, private, paywalled, broken, or technically restricted.
API use
API access may require an API key, usage limits, and additional commercial terms.
You may not resell, overload, scrape, or misuse the PEA API without written permission from OTJ.
Availability
OTJ may change, pause, fail, or become unavailable at any time.
We work to make the system reliable, but no online analysis tool is perfect.
Intellectual property
OTJ branding, design, reports, and system structure belong to Over The Journal unless stated otherwise.
You may quote reasonable parts of a report with proper context and attribution.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as OTJ evolves.
Continued use of the website means you accept the latest version.
